By Finic · HOSTED

Finic's hosted fraud and risk decision model returns probabilities for yes/no, single-choice and multiple-choice questions. The ask endpoint uses grayson-1 and accepts structured case data or free-text context. The separate score endpoint builds a 0 to 1,000 risk score from a scoring model calibrated with labelled records. An HN comment surfaced it on 04 Nov 2026; its release date is unconfirmed.

## Claims and sources

- **VENDOR-REPORTED**: Finic documents identical answers for an identical request, while changes to wording, option order, data, context or key order make a different request. It also says adding or changing another question can move numerical values slightly, under one percentage point on average. This is the vendor's contract, not an independently reproduced determinism test. [source](<https://docs.finic.ai/concepts/ask>)
